Chantal Clarke (née Omer) founded Carter Clarke in early 2009 having attained more than 10 years' experience in the legal and recruitment sectors, placing lawyers into roles at leading investment banks, hedge funds and asset managers, as well as other financial services and energy companies.

Chantal graduated from Cardiff University in 1997 with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) and went on to complete her LPC at Exeter University in 1998. She then worked in the international finance divisions of two leading offshore law firms in Jersey before commencing her career in recruitment in January 2001.

After a period in the London office of a boutique international legal recruitment consultancy, Chantal relocated to their Sydney office in February 2001. She went on to spend the next 2.5 years recruiting lawyers Australia-wide into roles in private practice and in-house, both locally and internationally. She returned to London in 2003 and since this time has focused exclusively on the recruitment of in-house lawyers into banking, finance and energy clients.

Chantal advises candidates from newly qualified to Managing Director level (11+ PQE), both on legal positions and, for lawyers wishing to move onto the business side, on front office roles.
